How 80% works.

The Match Score is a compatibility measurement, not a probability of relationship success.

Shared Intent comes first.

Before HAEVN measures compatibility at all, it establishes Shared Intent — do these two members actually want the same kind of relationship? If they don’t, no score is calculated. Compatibility is only measured among people who have already qualified on intent.

Then, we look for patterns.

HAEVN looks at what both people say they actually want — relationship goals, preferences, boundaries, and overall compatibility. But we don’t look at answers in isolation.

We look for patterns.

It’s easy for someone to choose a single answer that sounds good. It’s much harder to present a false version of yourself consistently across a thoughtful, structured profile. That gives us a much stronger understanding of fit than a few filters or swipe decisions ever could.

We only show Matches where both people clear the 80% Match Score threshold. Below that number, an introduction hasn’t earned the word Match.

The Match Score measures compatibility within the HAEVN system — how strongly two people’s answers align across the signals HAEVN was designed to measure. It is not a probability of relationship success. It can’t be. Relationships are lived, not scored.

What the number means — and what it doesn’t.

80% doesn’t guarantee chemistry. People are more complex than any system, and no measurement can predict how two people will feel in a room together. Chemistry, timing, and the future of the relationship remain human.

What 80% does mean is that the foundation is strong enough to make the introduction worth your time. It’s the point where saying “yes, I want to meet this person” stops being a gamble.

Rules-driven. AI translates, it doesn’t decide.

The matching itself is rules-driven — a structured system of Gates and Weights that reads member answers deterministically. AI is used only to translate the structured result into a readable explanation of why a Match is a Match.

AI does not decide who someone will love. It doesn’t score attraction. It doesn’t rank chemistry. Those questions aren’t engineering problems, and HAEVN isn’t trying to answer them.
